Upton 12th & 13th July

A couple of days at Upton with a mixture of intermediates and novices for Tom and the team.  Upton seemed to have way more than usual faults in the showjumping and not many horses came home with double clears!  Braveheart B did buck that trend in his novice section though adding just some cross country time faults to his 30 dressage. Nasdaq High (Bodie) also posted a 30 dressage and just added 1 rail to that before another good cross country round for a clear while Dream Big (Dreamy), who has only competed once before at Farley with Tom, picked up 8 faults before she too found the cross country well within her scope and ability.

CHF Cooliser ( Eliza) was one of many intermediates to tap out a couple of rails for 8 faults but she is a careful jumper and it was also her first intermediate start so her 32 dressage and clear cross country more than made up for that!  Splash of the Irish ( Dennis) wowed the judges for a 26 in his intermediate debut but he picked up 12 faults before also flying round the cross country clear which was very satisfying.  Both Eliza and Dennis have been produced by Tom from scratch so it is always fun when they start to move up into the grown up grades and also handle it so well.
